I want to thank everyone who came to vote on which 46th Ward projects to finance using $1 million in menu funds. We joined with 3 other wards that used a community process to create a list of projects. Teams of volunteers then worked with the Chicago Dept. of Transportation and other departments to work out the details for each idea. Last Saturday was the official day to cast ballots for the projects.

The 6 projects are listed in order of their highest vote count. The projects will get some more tweaking from various City departments before the work begins on them in 2014. I want to thank the scores of volunteers who worked hard on these projects. The 46th Ward is fortunate to have such hard working volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to present such creative ideas that will improve our community.
